LensCulture (or Lens Culture) is a photography network and online magazine about contemporary photography in art, media, politics, commerce and popular cultures worldwide: “a resource to keep up with the latest trends and debates in contemporary photography”. In addition to its online magazine and publishing network, LensCulture has hosted international photography portfolio reviews each year in Paris since 2010 in partnership with Paris Photo. LensCulture sponsors international photography awards and grants several times per year, as well as traveling exhibitions of award-winning photography. (Source: Wikipedia)
On 25 February 2015 I received the following mail:
Hi Hans Martin –
Great news! We’ve upgraded your LensCulture account to an invite-only Portfolio Account so you can immediately share your best photographs and projects with LensCulture’s global audience — and it’s completely free, forever!
So why are you receiving this invitation now? As you may know, LensCulture is now the largest online destination for curated, contemporary photography from around the world with a global audience of over 1.2 million. We are committed to helping talented photographers like you gain global exposure for your work. With your upgraded Portfolio Account, you can upload an unlimited number of photo projects, link to your photo books, and add your profile info. It’s free to publish new work — all of which our editors will see and our large, growing global audience can appreciate. Again, there is no cost for this — really, this is not a free trial.
By the way, we also made it easy to copy any of your existing submission(s) to your Projects area, just go to My Submissions, click on the submission, then click Copy to Project link on the top right, like this:
When you’re done, click the Publish button to make your updated profile public. You can always return to update or change your profile and add more projects to keep it fresh and engaging.
If you have any questions or need support, just reply to this email and we’ll be happy to help you. Thanks for joining our community!
